Detterick promises the Coalition he'll impose tighter control on conference presenters

A major topic for conversation at the Covenant Network Conference was the recent statement by GAC Executive Director John Detterick, in which he apparently said that Dr. Dirk Ficca, in his presentation at last summer's Peacemaking Conference, had made statements that were "out of bounds."

He apologized for being too slow and too cautious in his response, and that of the GAC Executive Committee, condemning what Ficca had said.  In his words, he was "guilty of ... a) not moving fast enough, and b) for speaking much too cautiously."

Some officers of the Witherspoon Society and Semper Reformanda are preparing an open letter to Mr. Detterick, which will be published here as soon as possible.
